In June The Big Lunch held a competition on Heart FM with lots of top prizes up for grabs. Here one of the winners, college student Abbey from West Sussex, shares how she got on when she claimed her prize for a family break to the Eden Project – including two nights at The Carlyon Bay Hotel, travel and food – courtesy of Eden Project Breaks :

“Dear Big Lunch
I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for my prize! We had an amazing time and it is something me, my mum, cousin and brother are going to remember for the rest of our lives.
The hotel was incredible and definitely a once in a lifetime experience. We really enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools and the Jacuzzi :)
The breakfast was really yummy and on our second morning a helicopter landed in the field outside our window…It was so exciting!
The Eden project was incredible! It was beautiful, and so educational. And again, it was a once in a lifetime experience and something I will always remember.
On our last day our car broke down, but luckily the hotel let us use their pool after we checked out while we were waiting for a recovery truck. As it took all day to fix, we decided to stay another might and ended up in a hotel just opposite the Carlyon Bay Hotel for the night!
Despite the car breaking down, it was still an amazing holiday and I would really just like to thank you so so much from all of us!
